computer don't make choices. Neither programs (unless one gives them some
kind of entity...;)
lines codes perform tests, and according to the results, do things (cf
loops). All are puppets in the programmers's hands who, by programing the
codes, tells the computer what to do by talking to it through line codes,
which are interpreted through a compiler or executer.
All "choice" that the computer seems to be doing are only anticipated by
the programmer. If the programmer goofs, it's an open door to hackers or
to crashing or hanging: the computer will give up as soon as it is
confronted to a choice it is not programmed for, or it will still try,
which will cause a crash/hang or anything...;)
