I wondered about your impressions Wilber's BRIEF HISTORY. There have been
many times when I tried to imagine what you'd make of this or that idea. It
is providing words and concepts that really help in getting a handle on the
MOQ. Wilber says things I've been trying to say all along, but lacked the
tools. He seems to paint the same picture as Pirsig, but with much greater
detail. Wilber's explainations only helps to clarify Pirsig.
Now that we have another set of ideas in common, I was really hoping we
could disagree about that too. Ba Dump Bump. Just kidding.
Wilber's four quadrants is just another way to transcend subjects and
objects, no?
Holons are static patterns, no?
They both present a natural hierarcy of evolution, no?
They both describe the growth process as s & Q, "preservation and
transcendence", right?
They both see history as biography, no?
Both both put mystical experience at the center of that process, no?
Ken Wilber rocks!
