Thank you for taking the test. Sometimes it's inaccurate because the
questions are a little cheesy, but the theory behind them is relatively
sound.

BTW, I need to explain Keirsey a little bit:

These are temperments. They are not straight-jackets. It's kind of like
handedness. We all have two hands (except for a few unfortunate people) and
we use both but some people are "right" handed and some are "left." Keirsey
just shows tendency or probability.

With this said, here are the four sliding scales:

Introvert (I)<------>Extrovert (E)
Sensing (S) <------>Intuitive (N)
Thinking (N) <------>Feeling (F)
Judging (J) <------>Probing (P)

Let me explain a little bit:

I=Person prefers not being around people all the time
E=opposite

S=Person stays in the "real world", person observes five senses
N=Person lives inside own head.

T=person places values in Logic
F=person places values in Feelings

J=person is trying to limit options
P=person is trying to expand options

1) NT/NF directly correlate to Romantic/Classical.

2) S/N directly correlate to a sliding scale between Pure S: Biological,
S/N: Social and Pure N: Intellectual.

3) And here's the kicker: P/J directly correlate between DQ and SQ.

I've been thinking about the differences in Romantic and Classical thought.
I think it goes a little like this:

Q---->DQ
|
|
|
\/
SQ->1)Dimensional
    2)Inorganic
    3)Biological
    4)Social
    5)Intellectual---->Romantic
                 |
                 |
                 \/
                Classical

This distinctly lines up with:

Q---->P
|
|
|
\/
J-->1)Time and Space and stuff
    2)Rocks and stuff
    3)S
    4)S/N
    5)N---->NF
      |
      |
     \/
     NT

I have also been thinking about why the split in ISQ works the way it does:

            /\Space
            |
            |
            A
            |
Time |
<-----------B-------C------>
            |
            |
            \/

To me, Romantic thought is noticing the relationship between point A and B.
It is not necessary to have Time involved.

Whereas with Classical thought, Time MUST be involved. CT is noticing a
change from point B to point C. Cause and effect require this. All of Logic
requires a knife cut which takes time.

All of this is well and great until somebody goes around and uses both at
the same time (a.k.a. Everybody. since we all have both and use both. Some
are just more comfortable using one over the other.)

I'll have to think about this more to fully expound on it.

Sincerely,

Matt Coughlan
