Should people have faith?
Hi Roger and Horse and everyone else
First I ask myself, what is faith?
Faith is rainbow-hued baubles hanging on gossamer cobwebs convivially woven
between the shadowy sunlit trees of what we know and what really may be.
Faith is a cold breeze blowing through the whispered scattered promises of
the dying dreams of yesterday singing to us softly of what wonderous
treasures tomorrow might bring if only we believe hard enough and long
enough and surely enough. Faith is that sometimes remembered touch of soul
that binds our fibered fractured beings to that which is good and true and
right, intuitively, like a new baby intuitively grasps for the proffered
breast full with mother's milk. Faith is the fool's folly. Faith is an
unanswered prayer. Faith breaths life into the new day and rattles the
coffin bones of the night.
Should we have faith?
Can we have faith? How do we know if we have it or not?
