Dear Folks,

This is a post I send to the LS to participate in this month discussion reg.
The definition of the intellectual level after reading Johannes and David
Saters contributions regarding " Brilliance and the ramblings of a madman "
(which I found inspiring btw). So it is not a direct answer to David's and
JoVo's post but probably in the same room.

Diana bounced it, saying that this post has nothing to do with the
definition of the intellectual level. I disagree because I tried to set
Dynamic Quality, static patterns of value, space and the levels in a
relation to each other. And this is a good approach for a definition.
Probably it is not specific enough though.

But mostly anyway I just tried to make my own mind up. A lot of this is
questionable and developable.

Now that I'm talking about 'making Your own mind up' and thinking about all
the new members I want to shout out:
" People if You have something to say. Go for it even if it is not perfect
or finished. It is o.k. to make mistakes when this brings You, with a little
help from Your friends, to a new and hopefully better perspective."

Start moving - by doing the first step - have fun.

One of my first steps:

First an introduction and then the levels:

DQ (Dynamic Quality) is the point where all agents take place.

Space is an option for a change of position into areas of an different
quality.

DQ tends to increase the space in which agents take place by reaching into
the unknown. (which of course also could mean exploring inhabited areas from
a new angle)

DQ shows itself in the undefinable, active side of the Good.
As the moving side of the Good it is undefinable as an consens because it is
an individualistic conglomeration of agents by independent entities in a
quest for the better.

Spov's (Static patterns of value) show themselves as the reflecting and
preserving side of the Good.
Spov's serve as an orientation of each individual entity at variables which
give a max amount of space to a max. number of agents.

Morals/Spov's and DQ/agents develop in an antagonistic struggle.

On one side there is the individual dynamic, changing quality of acting
individuals.

On the other side there is the static, interrelated, preserving quality of
agglomerations.

This antagonistic Good defines (Spov's) and enlarges (DQ) space.

The Good in morals/Spov's is the starting point for all beneficial
developments (DQ).

The Good in DQ/agents adjusts the provisional Spov's so that a perspective
evolves which allows the first or at least easier inhabitation of till then
not or only under difficulties reachable places.

DQ on a anorganic level is either non existent or very slow (?).

DQ on a biological level is moving but still slow and limited to a small
amount of space.

DQ on a social level is moving faster (speed defined as the amount of agents
in a certain space/time continuum) and wider, the impact on the reflecting
instance (morals/Spov's) higher.

DQ in the intellectual level is again faster and has an potentially higher
impact, affecting even more space and increasing speed.

Ergo the changing power of DQ/agents on the intellectual level is higher
than DQ on a social level and so on.

The Good as a platform of morals/Spov's can only be seen as an holistic
entity - as a signpost.

Thanx for reading,

                                Andreas
