Platt, Ian, Struan, Ed and all,
Quick question:
PIRSIG:
"The Metaphysics of Quality says that if moral judgments are
> essentially assertions of value and if value is the fundamental
ground-stuff
> of the world, then moral judgments are the fundamental ground-stuff of the
> world."
My question is this... is that statement logically correct? Or should it
properly read:
"The Metaphysics of Quality says that if moral judgments are
> essentially assertions of value and if value is the fundamental
ground-stuff
> of the world, then moral judgments are [assertions of] the fundamental
ground-stuff of the
> world."
And if so, is the point of the quote subtley changed?
Just wondering,
Rick
