Hi Struan and all

As I desperately tried to get a 'Lila' for a friend of mine, I can assure you,
that in Germany, 'Lila' is also sold out and there will be no re-publish either.
That women, she is studying philosophies in Hannover, saw great coincidence to a
publishing of Norbert Elias, a sociologist, 'Society of Individuals' (I'm sorry,
I can't find the english document about his international publishing, but the
english title is different). Maybe you have heard about Elias, then you will
know what I mean. What is quite interesting about the named book, is the fact
that it consists of three parts of similar structure and content, of which the
first one was written in the thirties and the last one in '87. Although he had
published the more important part of his work almost half a century ago, he got
famous for it during the last ten or twenty years.

By the way, what is your serious profession then? You mentioned something in the
post above. ( No, I don't ask you 'What is your substantial subject, then?',
'cause this would mean an 'unfair move' and moreover pure rhetoric; See ZAMM
;-) ) Afterall I see (onceagain) that I did not achieve anything by my approach
in effort to lead this discussion into calm water. When I started my
participation on this site, I really believed that words are just words, but I
had to learn, that one can easily get misunderstood (and I myself misunderstood
more than once) and have to use words in an even more careful way, than
communicating face to face. But to improve one's 'caring' is almost as worthy
to one's personality as an increase of understanding and knowledge.

PS.: Norbert Elias work has much to say about the social level and the mentioned
book is of quite a tolerable volume.

PPS.: Horse: Maybe you know something about him, because Elias has lived and
worked in Amsterdam for the longest time of his life
