MD Pirsig: the Hegel you can dance to?

Further to that exhaustive list of oranges, check out Erich Fromm (briefly
popular German-American psychoanalyst and social philosopher)who wrote some
interesting things about Zen Buddhism, psychoanalysis and Aristotle-bashing
in the 50s. His work might help to suggest ways MOQ-style thinking
intersects with Freudian and Marxist theory, and it's also quite interesting
as a representative of that whole cultural movement towards Eastern thought
in the 50s and 60s.
And on a more personal note: if anybody who knows their Hegel can tell me
anything about his relationship to eastern philosophy or suggest any books
on the subject, please e-mail me. "It's not for me it's for my thesis."
Thanks very much.

James
