<< The choise did not simply " occurred " to Tarzan boy, and was not his
to make.
There were features present in the living environment of Tarzan boy by
which human- social models of standing up were alarmed NOT to
switch on.
Not only his musculature, like you mention had to developed differently,
although not that differently, that is_ remerber, the boy was only 2 years
when found, some muscles did not developed at their full capacity_ like the
muscles needed to stand at full height.
They developed is a simian way, like you noticed, that is another way of
using its hands, f. e. a better grip.
Also some ape- like habits had to develop, that is f . e. fleaing.
The question is of course, how come !?
The priciple behind this is a genetic/ memetic one_ in MOQ- terms,
Quality and Value.
That is, another focus point of my brain, mastered by all of our senses,
results
ultemally in another set of then ( solipsistic) memetic lineages ( quality
events)
which my brain uses to give me an image of the " reality " out there and
that goes for any aspect of any situation.
But how, can a kid of 2 years do that, presuming it is not aware of its
surroundings or for that matter of itself.
Remerber, memes are and have you.
Quality Events in order to stay around as such will protect themselves
from the hazzards which their host ( the child) encounters on his way
throughout life.
I understand, there is no reference for such a supposition. (Yet)
And yes, indeed, the idea of standing up would presented itself to the boy
(as an evolutionary feature), but was repressed by a then stronger term of
Quality.
Remerber, we do possess still animal-like brain functions from way back.
Like Peter Lennox wrote, they must be switched on at the right time.
Maybe, due to certain circumstances Tarzan boy would have stand up at his
full height and challenged so the leadr of the group, but we will never know
for sure the outcome.
On the other hand, we will never know for sure either, if the boy stayed
far too long in the jungle, that he would have walked upright when he did
get back in our world. At least, than his musculature would have developed
itself so far ape- like that turning the process around again would ask
immense physical training from the boy...and maybe it would never change....
Many regards,
Kenneth
