David (Prince) -I may stand corrected; I was thinking of BFSkinner, and the
notion that 'mind' is an unneccessary concept, which can be replaced with
the notions of innate and /or acquired responses to stimuli. It alwasy
seemed to me that in this model, the organism under consideration views the
future as a sort of repetition of components which occurred in the past;
sort of " when I did this last time, then so-and-so happened (which I
liked); therefore, to make so-an-so happen again, I should repeat steps 1
and 2 and so on.
Am I being overly simplistic in my understanding?
cheers
