Hmmmm...free will does not necessarily imply that one chooses their
own fate. As I understand it, it implies that one chooses their own
actions. And it's interesting that you use the phrase "choose his
fate" when fate is "the cause beyond man's control that is held to
determine events" (Merriam-Webster) Therefore, by definition, one
cannot choose their own fate (although they can make choices that
determine what type of life they will most likely have. Well, at
least, as far as I can see, that is.)
