+AD4- With all these thoughts, it has been very hard to focus on Kenneth's
+AD4- impressive article, and I've yet to read it in depth. Meanwhile, it may
+AD4- suffice just to comment on this:
+AD4- KENNETH (to Bodvar)
+AD4- +ADwAPAA8-I think you look to much on the meme- issue, where in my opinion you
+AD4- have to look upon the solipsism stance. That is what interests me, are
+AD4- memes solipsistic in nature +ACE-?
+AD4- Yes, ok, tell me more +ACE-
+AD4- No, tell me why +ACEAPgA+AD4-
+AD4-
+AD4- Would it be helpful to stop using the term solipsism and switch to
+AD4- SELFISHNESS.
+AD4- Selfish Genes/ Selfish Memes - these are just expressions of the quest
+AD4- for self survival. As the great Rabbi Hillel said 2 millennia ago:
+AD4- +ACI-If I am not for myself, then who is for me.
+AD4- If I am only for myself, then what am I.
+AD4- If not now, when.+ACI-
+ADwAPA- Thanks Jonathan for what I take as a personal support for my adventure
on the MOQ- list.
But you are quite right proposing to change solipsism into selfishness.
That is just my aim my here, to determine, if memes are selfish in what way
are they Selfish...Egoistic ? Self- Interested ? Self Seeking ? Do they act
in a Solipsistic way ? Are they Autonomic ? Auto- regulated ? Do they
glory themselves ? Do they have a Self- Complencency, a Self- Satisfac-
tion ?
In my opinion the above mentioned examples can all act in some sense
of degree of Selfishness...and I think I can find the anwser here on the
MOQ, because, in my opinion again, Quality, Value and Intellect are in
those matters of a vital importance...now I see that, though +ACE-
The conclusion from which I wrote the article was, once again in my opinion
the only possible explanation if you think the meme- concept to its final
bounderies.
And if you do that, you can only come to the conclusion, if memes are
those untits of information which do evolve, select and variate, that some-
how they are ' alive ', act as they were some ' entities ', and in order
to
resolve the matter I asked myself the question, if memes are selfish in what
way are they Selfish +ACE-? I concluded from the evidence I had, that memes act
in fact in a Solipsistic way...and in contrast with you, Jonathan, I think
it is
possible to base an useful philosophy upon the solipsistic view, at least if
you count in the meme- concept as the very bias whereout, and I will use
here the word, Reality, started.
The world is my Nightmare...

Kenneth
( I am, because we are) happy
