I think so. As soon as "something" is REALized (i.e. "mapped") it isn't
DQ anymore.
"It" becomes objectified.

The MF thread on Democracy came a few weeks to early. The US elections
have provided a fabulous example of the above paradox. The US electoral
system is designed to exaggerate small differences in individual choices
into a clear-cut result. It is essentially a binary system, and dynamic
because you can keep holding elections and always get a result that
stands beyond argument. This has provided immense stability for the US.
The elections are dynamic (big swings), but during the years between the
government remains stable. In comparison, electoral systems based on
proportional representation show much less change in the election
results (small swings), but the government that follows is often of
rapidly changing composition as coalitions are made and broken.

However, the US system has a flaw that it shares with most binary
systems. This time, the electoral coin has been flipped, but instead of
landing heads or tails, it landed on its edge. It the American nation is
unable to contend with this unexpected turn of events, it bodes ill for
US democracy.
