It does look to me like you guys are saying the same thing. A copy can never
be the thing itself. But it can be accepted as the thing itself if we agree.
Admittedly I'm no Einstein, but my wife says I'm all the Einstein she needs.
What determines this selection? Uhh....what is this discussion called again?
I love the idea of the original and the copy. It's awesome, especially when
applied to corporations. Like Roger says: He's a smarty pants. Oh and the
other thing that he says is that: are 6 and 6 the same 6?
I'll give you 6 of my coins that I choose for 6 of your coins that I choose.
Any takers? I mean 1 coin = 1 coin. Right?
So back to the corporation. Has anyone ever heard the phrase "Managing by
the numbers?" That means that someone at the top who is doing math to
determine the course of the company is out of touch with the reality at the
factory level. In other words, they are computing 6 coins = 6 coins. They
have decided that a computer at the counter with a statue of a person beside
it, is just as good as a real person and only costs half as much.
Well I'm babbling, but it's fun to babble on here.
