ELEPHANT TO JOVO, RE WISE-CRACKS:
JoVo, you rightly insist I not deviate from matters of substance into
stylistic metaphorical flights of fancy. I will try to mend my ways. Here
is an example of that dark arts which I hereby abjure:

JOVO SAY:
Now look, I'd been always stopping at this point of your essay, I mean it's
not only cracks, is it? I did not reach past this point after four attempts,
truly speaking!
ELEPHANT:
Too Right, Too right.
JOVO SAY:
Fuzzy logic is, as the name says already, a logic which is fuzzy, self
evident, isn't it? And a logic, which is fuzzy is not a trivalent logic, as
you propose, but it is FUZZY, it is NOT discrete. It has no a True and a
False and an 'in between' - even then the 'in between' got nothing to do
with a 3rd value; fuzzy logic is analogous - it has strictly speaking ONLY
'in betweens'.
ELEPHANT:
Sure. But Chris and Horse did start off this discussion by insisting on a
both/and state [in CAPITAL LETTERS] to replace either/or. I think my
reading of their proposal was fairly understandable. And as for a logic of
things which are not discrete - well this, I suggest to you, is a
contradiction in terms. Without discreteness there can be no referents, and
a logic which referred to nothing wouldn't be much use.
