I've missed most of the recent posts, but am assuming they have dipped
into nasty-land (as they have in the past). I agree with Horse. No
one is saying "please play nice" at the expense of a dynamic exchange
of ideas. One does not need to be rude or offensive to make one's
point. In fact, more often than not, when one does so, all the
reader
is left with is rudeness and feeling offended. The point gets lost.
The only reason I can see for arguments that are attacking the person
or in general, offensive is to hide the fact that the person being
rude doesn't have a case (see recent election in america). If you
have a case - make it. But please make it on the merits of the case.
