to pass on the abuse and bitterness to the next generation?
Reminds me of my "Holier Than Thou 101" professor, and his
favorite "philosophical" tactic: to generate an endless
barrage of pseudo-intellectual claptrap with which to bury
any "adversary" (i.e., any MERE student with the audacity
to hold an opinion). We soon learned to "give in" just to
shut him up! With education like THAT, who needs lobotomies?
Let me go on record right here and now:
I discriminate against any and every POMPOUS WINDBAG
regardless of race, color, creed, or sexual orientation.
Once they learn (IF they learn) that childhood traumas and
pent up agressions can only be healed from WITHIN, they no
longer have any need to bellow their sour-grape derivatives
at the innocent and/or defenseless, and I no longer have
any cause to discriminate.
On the other hand, I hear that poisonous snakes are often
"milked" for their venom which is then used to produce
"antivenin" to counteract the effects of the poison...
No, I think we have enough, for now.
If I refuse to read Hothead's posts, am I impinging upon
his right to free speech? If so, I'm sure he won't mind
if I come and put up a billboard in his front yard.
Moq_discuss is NOT public property. According to the rules
(which I just happen to have READ), the site owner or
administrator has both the right and the responsibility
to dump ANY persistently pernicious curmudgeon, especially
one who has responded to requests and warnings with EXPLICIT
DEFIANCE.
If Holier likes, he can start his own discussion group,
call it Sour-Grapes-R-Us, or Bellyache.com, and invite all
comers who share his obsessive craving for mutual and/or
unilateral abuse and contempt...
Pirsig's "zuni brujo" (LILA) may have been regarded as
eccentric by others in his community, but he was generally
more popular than the priests because of what he was NOT:
a SANCTIMONIOUS BLOWHARD.

I'm really terribly sorry that the Blue Meanies put
gunpowder in your Alpo when you were a pup--beleive me,
I know how painful that can be--but the parents and/or
primary caregivers who abused and/or neglected your
developmental needs ARE NOT A PART OF THIS FORUM.
Your comments are "reasonable" in much the same way
that a randomly thrown fist in a dark crowded room is
reasonable. Your attempts to paint Horse as some sort
of oppressor are pathetically transparent. It's all
I can do to stop myself from presenting your posts to
my psychology class as examples of neurotically twisted
rationalization. Horse was right: Nobody's buying it.
Your entire self-image seems invested in convincing
yourself that you've convinced everyone else that you're
the tallest "intellectual" in the trough. But you hurl
adjectives like a second-rate schoolyard bully. Makes
others want to hurl dictionaries back at you.
REAL philosophers and/or inellectuals are not so easily
baited. You've clearly been sold a bill of goods, but
not by anyone here. You need to work through your
bottled-up rage on your own time.
Dude...like, lay off the steroids...or take a vacation...
get some therapy...or castration...or SOMETHING!
WHATEVER IT TAKES--but find SOME way to contain your
