If you think about fish, gravity is quite a different thing; it's main
effect is to do with pressure et different depths (or 'altitudes', perhaps).
So, for many fish, 'down' means more pressure, and darker, whilst 'up' means
less pressure, and lighter. in fact, it could even be possible that 'down'
is about pressure, and 'up' is about light. It's just woth mentioning be
cause
a) it does seem that we have fish way back in the family tree,
and
b)I'm not at all convinced that 'up' is perceptually the exact opposite of
'down'
