Well....it's important to point out that Lila IMO symbolizes *Biological*
Quality in particular. Pirsig himself in the book symbolizes Intellectual
Quality, and his turbulent relationship with the girl Lila is representative
of the overall relationship between Biological and Intellectual Values.
