I beg to differ. The right to bear arms was intended to protect citizens
from the government. The founding fathers (well, not all of them, since I
believe not all of them were present during the writing of the Bill of
Rights) made this ammendment with the sole intention of protecting citizens
not from criminals or the like, but from the government. The same with our
right to not quarter soldiers.
