I would doubt that anyone on this list would be so stupid or callous as to say that
the U.S. deserved to be attacked or that the thousands of lives lost in the WTC
atrocity can be justified.
The use of force of whatever form which results in the indiscriminate deaths of
innocent men, women and children is not justifiable by any means.
This applies equally to the hundreds of thousands of innocents starving to death
in Iraq because of Western sanctions and those killed by indiscriminate bombing
of Baghdad, the various attrocities that have occured in the Balkans including the
recent bombings to force Milosevic out of office, the loss of at least 10,000
innocent lives in Sudan in 1998, the loss of life from the attacks on the U.S.
embassies in Kenya and Tanzania which prompted the attack on Sudan, the
people killed in Omagh in Ireland, the innocent Israeli's and Palestinians killed
every day from one revenge attack after another, the 17,500 civilians killed in
Israel's 1982 invasion of Lebanon, the thousands slaughtered in East Timor,
those killed in Sri Lanka, the victims of terror in Russia, those killed in Afghanistan
by the Russians, the Taliban and more recently the U.S. etc. etc. The list is
endless.
I would hope that no-one on this list would be as stupid or callous (or hypocritical
for that matter) as to say that the innocent men, women and children caught up in
the above deserved to die or that their deaths are justifiable.

So can we assume that this applies to those countries that supported the IRA, or
the Contra's or the Indonesian government or the Tamil Tigers? Because if it does
then that would include the U.S.A, England, Australia, and India at the very least.
Does it also include those countries that train and arm terrorists and insurgents?
Again the list could go on to cover probably most countries in the world, only a few
of which get a mention in your list. If we're going to apply the MoQ in this way we
should at least apply the rules equally and without bias.

So do we continue with the killing or do we stop now while it's still possible?
Civilization itself IS at stake.

Just to add a bit of perspective to this talk about terrorism, here's something I
picked up a while back:

"CRIMINAL thugs calling themselves 'Resistance fighters' have been engaging
in violent acts across the country, putting lives of men and women and
children at risk, damaging the economy and compromising national security.
These anti-social troublemakers are not motivated by any positive ideals or
aspirations, but have the sole purpose of causing as much mayhem as
possible. Make no mistake, they must and will be crushed in the name of
stability and progress!"

from The Daily Collaborator, Paris, Greater Germany, 1942.

Hmm!
