Oh God... did you bash Britney Spears in one breath and then exalt "Rage
Agaist the Machine" in the next? What a joke. Rage against the machine???
Rage against WHAT machine? Sony records, who pays their million dollar
salaries? They don't seem to rage against that machine too often, do they?
Ticketmaster, who sells their psychotically priced concert tix? They don't
seem to be doing too much raging over that one either. In fact, all they
ever seem to do is complain loudly about Leonard Peltier, a murderer of FBI
agents and policeman... and if there's one thing Zach de la Rocha has made
clearer than crystal, it's that he doesn't know the first the thing about
Peltier or what happened in his case. Rage against the Machine (and the
like) and no more substantial than Britney Spears... they're a pre-fab,
psuedo-politcal concept for a band designed to sell records and nothing more
(did you know that your precious Rage is the only the only band in
Lollapaloza history to demand a higher percentage of merchandising royalties
than any other band on the tour and refused to appear if this bump in pay
was denied?? Look at that rage fly...), they're a bunch of lying greedy
hippocrites... at least Britney has the guts to tell you she's merely an
entertainer without all the holier-than-thou posturing and posing of Zach de
la Rocha...
Of course, the best thing for you is too give up MTV as source of political
philosophy or any serious thought at all.
