Dave and others,
a jewish story I went through in Grammar School and I just can recollect it
from digging in 25 year old memories. Probably Jon knows the author and I
hope Jon, that You are well. It is simple though.
A man lived a peacefull and decent life somewhere - anywhere. One day a man
of power, willing to use it and used to use it, came.
He said: " Serve me."
The man cooked a good meal for the man of power. He brushed his shoes,
washed his clothing and did everything the man of power wanted him to do.
And he did it well.
The man of power had no complains, though they never spoke to each other,
wíth the exception of him giving orders. Time went by and the man of power
became fat and lazy. And everything was done as he said. More time went by
and the became more lazy and even fatter.
Then - one day, twenty years after his arrival the man of power died.
The peacefull and decent man took the carcass and buried it behind his
house. Then he cleaned the house, put fresh bedclothes on the pillows and
said:
" No".
A good weekend to all of You,
Andreas
