I don't think it's necessarily morally bereft. The
MOQ provides a frame work in which morals can exist,
where Pirsig's work is lacking is in the application
of morals, or how to make the choice between a good
moral option and a bad one. He makes some loose
guidelines based on intellect is superior to social
etc but this is too vague and not really accurate.
