Im a newbie to this forum..Hi all.. Ive read the requisite tomes ...glad to
say
I think you have answered you rown question about why some stoop to levels
of emotionaly charged tactics when you stated it takes heaps of social
conditioning.
Not everyone is so socially groomed as to avoid certain tactics and
those some find abrasive are socialy acceptable to others. I like the way
you point out that sometimes it may be necessary to alert someone sometimes
with more than a slight tap on the shoulder, to their recalcitrant ignorance
with something that may bring them up short for a sec so they can see the
predicament of their own myopia.
I personally dont want to be too socially embarrased cause Im so
sensitive but I can take a good pull yer head out of yer ass comment once in
a while especially if there is ample follow up with expressed reasons I can
delve into. I am willing to look at my foolishness, lack of awareness,
misdirected attention...whatever and I would expect the same in reverse it
total regard of the continuation of communication. Where egos are insecure
and struggling for attention of one kind or another there is often a lack of
communication on the issues. Hows that for my first two cents :)?
