I am addressing this reply via the MD list to publicly thank you both
for caring. I am extremely touched by both of your messages.
I was not in the slightest offended by Platt's brusque message - I
welcome his acknowledgment of events in my neighbourhood and his
expression of concern. The current situation in Israel is not
necessarily directly relevant to the current discussions, but I can't
pretend that it doesn't colour my own point of view.
