recently held in Brussels. The officials of NATO states showed their
interest in connection with the insurance of financial resources for the new
military structure and with the training level of the military units
selected to participate in NATO missions. Maior said the alliance pays
special attention to the Romanian army as it has the highest potential among
all the military forces of all the NATO candidate states. "We advanced the
idea that we wanted to contribute to the alliance's military capacities. And
it also came out that both the NATO concept and language have become
important coordinates in the unfolding of the reform process", said George
Maior. He mentioned the Romanian military will make a catalogue for NATO
showing Romania's facilities such as airports, ports, logistic and medical
facilities.
