Information: from Latin In+formare=to Shape. It is the action to mould a concept/idea/meme(?) using data as raw material.
What are Data? Datum (past form of latin Dare=to give) is all what is available.

Within the subjective realm of SOM (more or less the social+intellectual levels of MOQ, according to Pirsig's SODAV paper) creating information from data is like creating life from matter within the objective realm of SOM. In both cases, it is an anti-entropic activity.

Thoughts?
