My chairman-sounding New Year speech was too much for
"killerblade" - I possibly begged for something like that - and he
burst open. It's impossible to respond directly to anything of that
stuff without sounding hurt or not enough hurt or whatever reaction
he/she wanted to achieve. This discussion is of course no
kindergarten and those who can't understand ideas above that level
will necessarily feel neglected and resentful. What people like that
are here for in the first place is the greatest mystery, but it can't be
helped.
Anyway, the "Iron Law of Irony" struck, I spoke about Internet
discussion forums having found their form and learned how to to
behave, but that released the said broadside just to prove me
wrong. May be I have been insensitive to signs of tiredness (of my
pet ideas), but I always believed that if a participant's contribution
was irrelevant or uninteresting she/he would be neglected, and if
killerblade's out to act the spokesman for new-comers I have
treated bad I haven't got any signals of hurt - rather a lot of mail.
The age diversity I don't know how to keep at the proper level ...or
how to control for correctness, heck, in these times of digital
communication anyone can assume an identity, age or sex as it
pleases, maybe my great sin was to tell it. Sixtyseven must sound
offensive to the young and dynamic killerblades of this world, the
mere nickname tells something of what he sees his mission. Well,
I will stay down a while and give room for the deep thoughts of this
anonymous Welshperson. To see if there are any brains and not
just brawn Be my guest.
Thanks to Erin for some good points.
