Well I really enjoyed your post about architecture. It was really interesting
and informative. But I am not exactly sure how it relates to Platts point yet.
I would say if I had to pick a label I would like the "absolutist postmodern
architect". I think the elements (basic geometrical shapes) are the same used
by all the architects so that is the absolutist part. But how those are shapes
are deconstructed/reconstructed is the postmodern part. I think an artist
should be given the artistic license to create as an individual so limiting
the artist to what is in a particular photo seems wrong (and contradictory to
me).
Okay I think I know where I disagree with Platt's absolutist view. He
approaches reality as a given while I think the elements of reality are given
but ultimately reality is created.
