Rog,Wim,Marco, all
My conclusion.
A conclusion by the group, on this and many other issues, is
inprobable... and may not be desirable.
I think I understand better Diana's frustration, early on, when trying
to get agreement on the MoQ basics for a FAQ. After trying to get the
"wiki" thing off the ground as alternate to MF or way to provide a
"static latch" for the MoQ I have been giving some thought to why it was
not of interest to very many in the group.
Think back to when you first arrived here. If you were like me it was
with a sense of joy and relief. Relief in finding you were not the only
person in the world that found something more than just a novel in
Pirsig's work and joy in having a group to talk it over with. And more
than that, after you arrived it felt like this was/is not a "done deal".
Its just getting started. Nothing is tied down, you might be able to
contribute something significant. Or see something significant develop.
Or not. Dynamic.
Now imagine you arrived and it was all laid out for you. Done, complete,
decisions made, thumbs up or thumbs down. Would it be a better
experience if a complete FAQ or whole sliced and diced "wiki" site was
encountered ? At this stage of the MoQ's existence I'm not so sure. If
the motorcycle you are working on is you; then it might just be better
to get more people interested in motorcycles rather than developing a
detailed maintenance manual. Hey you only read those things as a last
resort and even then you'll still probably have to call the shop because
they printed the diagram you needed backwards.

PS: My sources tell me "Code of Art" was a misprint.
It is should have read "Code of Arthur" which sure clears up that problem.
