Dearest darling Dave and y'all:

DMB...

Why your's of course !
And given your infatuation with the social level, as the mother of all
that is intellectual, it is understandably where your position lies.
Titles aside, be they, facism, communism, socialism, or liberalism, if
the results are....

the author...
"The logical order of things which the philosophers study is derived from
the mythos. The mythos is the social culture and the rhetoric which the
culture must invent before philosophy becomes possible. Most of this old
relgious talk is nonsense, of course, but nonsense or not, it is the PARENT
of our modern scientific talk. This 'mythos over logos' thesis agreed with
the MOQ's assertion that intellectual static patterns of quality are built
up out of social static patterns of quality." P378

.... the political positions that believe and promote that government
defined and regulated "rights" ("The Law") are preferable to, are BETTER
than, "inalienable rights" which, like DQ, can't be adequately defined
but must be continually rediscovered as a society evolves, then
irreguardless of "the political name" the reality is just the same. Less
social and intellectual freedom and more "freedom" mediated by laws,
courts, and gun barrels. I'm glad you have made your position clear.
That you think that the MoQ supports this is, well....... ....saddening.

the author...
"He knew now that the reason nobody ever spelled it out was nobody ever
could. In a SOM understanding of the world these terms have no meanng. There
is no such things as "human rights". There is no such thing as moral
reasonableness. There are subjects and objects and nothing else." P306

"According to the MOQ these human rights have not just a sentimental basis,
but a rational, metaphysical basis." P307

"There is intellectual morality, which is still struggling in its attempts
to control society. Human rights is usually the moral code of
intellect-vs.-society, the moral right of intellect to be free of social
control."

"Unless you separate these two levels of moral codes (bio vs. soc & soc vs.
int) you get a paralyzing confusion as to whether society is moral of
immoral. That paralyzing confusion is what dominates all thoughts about
morality and society today." P307

DMB...Its all about dynamic contrarians. The MoQ is an evolutionary system
and these contrarians are the agents of change, they are where the rubber
meets the road. Its personal. Its political. Its spiritual. Its for real.
This is the part that cures the isolated ego of SOM. According to the MOQ
you're out in the world effecting things whether you know it or not.
Everybody is a soldier in this battle. Its more outdoorsy than tea party,
but at least the terrible secret loneliness is gone.

These dynamic contrarians have always been with us and they've done a nice
job improving society. They're like genetic mutations at the social level.
But I think there's even more to it. Rights, it seems, are aimed precisely
at protecting contrarians. Rights protect the evolutionary process itself.
Rights open the doors to DQ. Its logical and rational and reasonable to
think that we ought not stand in the way of evolution, but beyond all that
it just seems right, doesn't it? It's moral in less expressable ways too.
Words like dignity, compassion and justice are intimately related to Rights.
