Hi Jovo,
thanks for your intervention and the good words.

There's nothing really new in these "girotondos". The leftists here use to
protest in the streets. Up to last year they were at government, so no
protests. Now they have begun again.. and just to look like something "new"
they walk in circle instead straightly.

Indeed.
[ This point reminds me of "April" a movie by Nanni Moretti, Italian
director and actor, very leftist and one of the inspirers of the current
girotondos. In that movie his baby comes in the same day of the victory of
the lefts at the April 1996 elections. In the end, he is more happy for the
baby than for the elections. ]
But even without this event, I think I'd not be involved in this kind of
street protests. The last time .... I was 15, and we students were
demonstrating our support to Lech Walesa against the Soviets. But soon I
have realized that there is no value in being involved in these kind of
protests. Walking in line with the others, shouting someone else's mot....
no, sorry. It is like another religion. Not for me.

Wim,
just today I read that Berlusconi denounced the previous government for that
small 0,13% of GNP. He says that it shows the demagogy of the lefts,
spending only words for the poor nations, but doing nothing concretely. He
has
suggested a new tax for that (nice, as he has always promised to cut taxes).
We will see. I bet 100 euros we will not raise our contribution.

Marco
