In the MOQ, the moral authority isn't an external figure, a supreme deity, a
social code or some "Hegelian absolute. It is direct everyday experience."

I concur with Pirsig completely. The moral authority is the experience
created by one's actions. Or in other words, the measure of morality is in
the consequences.
