Hi Magnus,
Once again, i agree and have said similar things myself, but have run up
against the, 'Of course quality is a human perspective' argument.
I feel quality, as in DQ, is beyond mind in the sense that it is more than
human.
(Of course, mind is a dodgy term but please indulge me - i've only just
crawled out of bed!)
The suggestion that the social is all biological patterns in biospheric terms
is most appealing.
This reinforces the environmental credentials of the MOQ.
But this runs the other way also towards AI, if we may be, as humans,
conceited about the term AI for the moment?
Conceit, for AI is not Human centred MOQ either.
If all the world, (reality) is a stage, (human culture) then we have to
recognise that the author is not primarily concerned with us little old
Humans.
I have been studying Plotinus recently and have been truck by his placement
of Human soul as pivot of the universe.
We can choose to look down towards romantic surface or look up towards
classical theory.
But each direction, (and the terms used are metaphors anyway), is derived
from the One.
This neoplatonic stuff has, more than once, made me shudder as i see how
close it approaches the MOQ.
Of course, evolution is missing from Plotinus, so that is a bit of a dead end.
All the best,
Squonk.
