As I mentioned in an earlier post, although I object to Rorty's
secularism (which prevents him from seeing the mystics as the original
deconstructionists), I find Rorty as a postmodern spokesman quite
helpful. A lot of what is said on this list, like the "map is not the
terrain" business, is SOM, and reading Rorty is a good cure for that.
There is no terrain. It's maps all the way down.
