The book I'm reading right now is actually arguing that McKeon had a larger
impact on Rorty, though Rorty might never admit it. The book, in
recontextualizing Rorty, also helps place Pirsig in a intellectual context,
being as they had similar teachers and philosophical leanings. Its called
Richard Rorty: Prophet and Poet of the New Pragmatism. Very good reading so
far.
