Might it not be time for you "look at the real world" do your "homework"
to see whether your blanket, uncritical acceptance of the theory of
"equality of political, social, & economic rights" is not getting the
"good results" you obviously think it is?

DMB says:
On the whole it seems clear to me that one of the main themes in U.S. and
world history is the expansion of rights and that the results have been more
freedom for more people. And this is precisely why we know its good. Not
only does this expansion of freedom decrease exploitation and violence, it
protects intellectual creativity and thereby it protects the evolutionary
process. I think its incorrect to attack these rights because somebody
somewhere might abuse the notion. The right thing to do is attack the abuses
and distortions, not rights themselves. If you'd like to list some real
world examples of such abuses, my eyes are all yours. That could make for a
pretty interesting discussion and could even help to clarify what rights
really are and are not. A week or two ago you sited the words of an Israeli
man who claimed a birthright to disposses others. I thought that was a
pretty good example of a distorted concept of rights. It was a good example
of what rights are NOT.
