>Hi Platt:
>But let me ask you: Do you see any difference in the assertions of truth
>set forth by the metanarratives of astronomy and astrology?
>Postmodernism says no. To quote one of its most famous adherents,
>Richard Rorty, "No area of culture, and no period of history, gets reality
>right more than any other." In other words, equal truth all around.
>Will you surprise me and say you disagree with Rorty?
When I explicitly typed out that I don't think they are equal in
the last post why would you be surprised?
This is joke you always laughing about: by its own definition the postmodern
narrative is no better than any other
The joke that I laugh about is you trying to make one universal
generalization about all postmodernists.
I have only had one postmodernism teacher but he never taught
all viewpoints are equal. The closest would be that all viewpoints
have a degree of subjectivity and objectivity.
I think it is wrong of you to write things like postmodernists don't
see a difference in astronomy and astrology.
What if I took DMB viewpoint on politics, Elliot's and Squonk's on
capitalism and labeled them as "THE" MOQ perspective?
