David, gary and all,

I wont say much here, just like to point out one idea. As God was once
unquestionable and his/her/its/my/whatever will and beauty the basis of
intellectual/non-intellectual arguments (depending on who you ask at this
point), so has reason, or rather Reason, become in this society. It seems
to happen to every group, so i say look at the type of Quality that is being
pursued, not the world view under which thinking happens (david says this
isnt the issue but has said before that those who cannot Question Gods
Beauty are social and those who cannot question efficency or ratio's beauty
are intellectual.

The type of Quality that is being pursued in individual Quality (unlike
victorians who were pursuing group mentality/Quality). In every society
there are those who make the myths and those who follow them, aspects of
social and intellectual behavior. The earliest matematicians were struck by
the beauty of Ratio, as are the current ones (and also by much more
harmony). the thinking is different because of different mythos, different
societies, but the Quality pursued is the same. the first tool makes were
strcuk by, i believe, the simplest and least complex version of this
Quality, not even ratio but cause and effect.

Thats how i draw the line.

And if the difference between a wolf cry and a human discussion isnt
profound enough for a level division, well, it seems a greater step than
from God to Reason (and if i misinterpreted your idea, it wasnt meant to be
a straw man argument, if i could know your point perfectly right away, there
wouldnt be discussion).

humbly,
Elliot
