Dear Patrick,

You asked 23/6 17:59 -0700:
'Define in a few sentences what YOU mean by subject-object-metaphysics.'

As I wrote to Platt 20/6 20:17 +0200:
'the ... fundamental myth of SOM ... can be analyzed as consisting of the
ideas
1) that there is an objective reality different from our subjective
experience and
2) that we can progressively know it (even though we are subjective
subjects), because there are recognizable patterns in our cumulating
subjective experience that match patterns in objective reality.'

If -as Erin suggested- it is 'illegal' to use the words 'subjective' and
'objective' when defining subject-object-metaphysics this can be rephrased
as:
SOM is founded on the ideas
1) that there is a reality different from our experience and
2) that we can progressively know it, because there are recognizable
patterns in our cumulating experience that match patterns in reality.

With friendly greetings,

Wim
