3DWave Dave,

First off, let me say that I enjoyed Killerblades contribution of "I am
a load of Bullocks" thread and the appropriate timing of it. And some
of his raves against the gaurdians of the MOQ, I think were apt. As a
perfect example of the virtues of "ill-defined rhetorical dismissal," we
only need to consider the penetrating impact of his "mind@#!$" comment,
to see the advantages of dogma over facts in the appropriate situation.
I love to read Bo's threads, and get many stimulating ideas from them.
I hope to never resort to such extreme examples of profanity, but, at
times it is effective and the intended target is hit precisely. We all
can be our own judges, but I think ,in this instance, killerblade was
right on. I won't take this too far, I did get a chuckle out of his
'Alien prank," although it was childish and I think you were in some
sense "vicitmized." I respect that you for never stooping to his level
for a justified response. Some people play the role of pranksters, and
as Utah Philips is fond of saying, "People! You got to fuck with 'em".
Killerblade, had a nice short run of it on the moq page, I miss
contributions such as his. I am sorry that you were the victim
(although, I think it could have been anyone)of his final act.

It is nice to hear a reasoned voice on these issues of sustainability.
I could add more to your thoughts but will only offer this for now:

Nobel prize-winning US economist Joseph Stiglitz, recently said:

"The IMF responds to the interests of financial markets and of advanced industrialized countries,It does not respond to the real concerns of the developing world. As the US dominates international financial markets, it's not surprising that the policies of the IMF reflect their point of view...Under pressure from developed nations, the South open its borders and gets rid of subsidy programs, while the North continues to ban products from the South and maintains subsidies to protect its own products..."

This is another example of the importance of looking at our values and beliefs systems first, before any progress can be made towards sustainability.

I am looking forward to the rest of your thoughts on sustainability.
