I wanted to take a crack at this because for me this
problem of causality thing is the part of the MOQ that
I understand the least. Please point out mistakes.

Maybe "I value going home" or "I value going home more
than anything else right now" for the first one and
for the second one how about "A meeting between an old
friend and I was the most valuable outcome of the
given circumstances." I realize these sound pretty
unpractical but that is what I thought MOQ
translations would be.
