Hi Wim, (Marco):
Apparently we're misinterpreting one another. I apologize for not making
myself clear. I should have said, "So my answer to the question 'Does
the MOQ support design or purpose in evolution' is a definite and
resounding Yes." My writing, "It's clear to me that the purpose/accident
problem simply doesn't exist in the MOQ" was a backwards way of
saying the problem doesn't exist because Pirsig solved it by creating
the MOQ.

Well, I'm still learning the value of the MOQ by participating in this site
and rereading LILA a number of times. Like all great books, repeated
readings unearth new insights, as do these conversations. For example,
I'm still very much intrigued by Bo's suggestion that more than a single
consciousness exists. As for convincing others, all I can do is present
what makes sense to me. If that helps another understand something,
fine. If not, things are just as they are. I'm not out to convince everyone
that the MOQ is "the answer" or to change the world. I try to follow
Marco's lesson he learned from Pirsig, "Do it well now. With art. The
good result will come." That I fail more often than not doesn't discourage
me.
