Dear Platt,

The subject/object-distinction is a problem as a metaphysical presumption,
as a supposedly inherent first cut of Reality. The map/territory would be
too. As a metaphor I don't see a problem in it, as long as you are clear
what IS the metaphysics that you want to use as a context.
