Gary: You may have missed my intro point I raised in an earlier post. I am
discussing here an investigation not of the food/Quality but of the
menu/Maps, to use the restaurant analogy which Pirsig presents in Chapter 5
pg 63 of the trade paperback Bantam 1991 ed. I am here interested not in
the map that Pirsig gave us in Zen and the Art or Lila, but rather in how
any human comes to understand anything. By understanding how we obtain
information and formulate ideas I beleive we can understand the limitations
and underlying assumptions of those formulations.
I think the study of Quanum mechanics in this pursuit is useless. The
affects of quantum mechanics are way too far down to have an impact or to
offer an analogy to the function of the brain/nervous/sensory systems, and
how we come to formulate ideas, how we think.
Our human consciousness comes out of the workings of our body and it is
affected by the workings of our body.
This thread perhaps should become a new one? These musings are not directed
yet to the workings of MOQ.
