I am not exactly sure what you want here.
You seem to suggest to voice the problems more and
at the same time to say stop complaining about the problems.
I noted a personal observation about the president's
intelligence. It wasn't a complaint about America or democracy. I
accept him as president even if I don't like him. What do you want? I
know nothing of Dutch politicians
but my cynical side wants to ask are they really that great?

Being cynical about politicians is probably universal. Being cynical and
continually suffering from the abuses of corrupt politicians without
effecting any real change seems to be particular to America. That is the
point of the Dutch example.

The Dutch government could not survive the scandal when the public
learned that it was complicit in the deaths of 8,000 innocents, even
when it occurred during a war.

Think about the implications of that for a moment.

So, If Bush is "stupid and evil", what does that say about Americans?
