A glimmer of hope? Democracy still kicking? I certainly hope so.
Of course, I also tried to point out the ethical differences between the
sex and money scandals that have toppled a couple of American
politicians with the Srebrenica scandal in The Netherlands. In my mind,
there is a notable qualatative difference represented there. Not just in
the type of scandal, but in the level of accountability demanded by the
electorate.
