Hi there!
This hits the nail on the head in my view.
I feel a MOQ does help to clear up moral questions, and the acrimony you
observe is also explained?
The answer and problem is the division and friction between moral codes.
If you are dominated by patterns from one level over patterns from another,
then you will display a certain morality? This may change during the day; one
may be inclined to social patterns at one time and intellectual patterns at a
nother.
The MOQ takes 'you' out of the picture and privileges intellectual patterns
above all as those patterns which must be preserved at all costs.
Because morals/values are real in a MOQ we have good hope of giving each
their due?
One must also remember that essentially the MOQ is an Art; when used it must
be used with ease and grace; it must sing the Bull to sleep. Now there is
faith for you!
You see friend, (he said becoming chummy) i feel the MOQ can be so good at
its job when applied with a degree of assured artistry, that debate dissolves
like ink in a water jar, leaving those who relish a splash of argument high
and dry with a disturbed pallet. (But keep that to yourself?)
How about an example to sing along too?
How about starting a new thread regarding the forthcoming conflict with Iraq?
All the best,
Squonk.
