Ah Paco, we must learn to rise above crass logocentrism. Surely you
must realize that logic is a hopelessly outmoded "vocabulary" in the
postmodern world and that canons of rationality no longer apply. Rules
of reason, you see, were the means by which dead white Victorian
males rose to power, rules that are still employed by the privileged white
males from upper-class backgrounds living in wealthy countries whose
only real agenda is to maintain power.Their use of reasoned persuasion
to serve their power goals must be unmasked. To get with today's
program, we must go for interpretations instead of facts, perspectives
rather than objective details, understanding rather than reason or
analysis, diversity rather than universal principles, differences rather
than right or wrong, good or evil. We must emphasize contexts and
contingencies and representations and stories. We must keep in mind
that any proposition we put forth is arbitrary, a result of social biases
stemming from race, ethnicity, sex, class and God only knows what

Yes, Paco. In this brave new postmodern world, there are no standards
rooted in reason. There are only preferences and appetites arising from
a solidarity of interests. So we should not be surprised at convoluted
